Attending the TCS walk-in interview was a mixed experience. Initially, I felt sad there is only one way communication from HR they just ask me the details they didn't replied my queries on the hiring budget . However, I managed to learn about the process and working schedule organized by TCS. I hope this article will provide useful insights to others about TCS interview processes.
The recruitment process started with a confirmation email and timing details. The interview was scheduled at 11:30 a.m. I reached the venue along with other candidates, where we were asked to go through preliminary screening.
After waiting for almost an hour, my turn finally arrived. There were around 500 people, making the environment quite hectic. I was directed to a waiting area with two other candidates.
During my interview round, the interviewers focused on two major topics: Object-Oriented Programming and SQL.
The interview lasted for about 45 minutes. Despite giving my best answers, the result wasn’t favorable.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t selected in the interview. The feedback shared by the panel is that my skill set doesn't matched with the position. Despite the outcome, i loved that they shared rejection immediately .
I have noticed a concerning trend in how walk-in drives are organized by reputed companies. During my experience with Cognizant, the lack of proper communication stood out. Despite attending the drive and following up through emails and phone calls, they did not respond promptly. It took them two and a half months to inform me that I was rejected, even though they had initially confirmed my selection just a day before.
Similarly, in my TCS interview experience, I faced mismanagement. I was rejected because my profile didn’t match the requirements, which raises the question of why interviews are scheduled without proper alignment with candidates' profiles. Such practices waste valuable time for both parties.
To all aspiring candidates, I advise you to be cautious and fully informed before investing your time in these processes. Mismanagement and lack of respect for candidates’ time seem to be common issues nowadays.
